Personal Protection Order (PPO)

Michigan law provides that any person who is being physically abused or otherwise threatened or intimidated by another person can seek a Personal Protection Order (PPO) from the court. A PPO prohibits the other person from doing numerous acts, such as having physical, electronic or telephone contact or appearing at the petitioner’s place of work.  Once granted, a PPO is entered into the L.E.I.N. system and police departments view them very seriously. It is very important to consider obtaining a PPO in any abusive, violent or threatening relationship.  Contact the Law Office of Bryan Monaghan today at 248.603.5300 or via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
